Review: Sunnies Lippies

Sunnies Face has launched 2 lip products to date -- Fluffmatte lipstick and the recently released Lip Dip. This brand has always been surrounded with hype which I think is the outcome of good marketing  but regardless, the products Sunnies release is as promising as it looks. Nonetheless, it doesn't fail any of my expectations.

I am going to review Sunnies Face Fluffmatte lipstick in 143 and Sunnies Lip Dip in Femmebot

I'll start with Fluffmatte lipstick in 143:
Fluffmatte is a weightless modern matte lipstick formulated with a silk-structure technology to give you that second skin feel. Each shade is designed to be universally flattering and easy to apply with one quick swipe
a weightless matte lipstick

  • I chose the shade 143 above all the 9 shades available because it's the one that looks good on me best. I tested all the shades on my lips prior to purchasing, Major and Hot sauce looks gorgeous but I can't see it wearing that much. Nudist is pale on me, Milkshake and Girl Crush doesn't complement my skin tone, Vacay and Baked looks strange on me despite being declared as a wearable color, Mood is similar to my recently bought lipstick from Fashion 21. 143 is obviously the best choice although I am planning on buying Baked or Vacay soon.
  • 143 is a berry rose shade. It looks bright on other models but it appears mauve on me. Mauve shade is always my first choice and most wearable of all shades in my opinion
  • Packaging: I bought this late last year when it was still sold in what they called frosted packaging. I didn't like it at all. Yes it's minimalistic if that is what they're trying to exude but it easily looks like a factory sample for me. I am glad they reverted back to the cream packaging. Though I can say it is sturdy enough and the design or logo doesn't fade easily
  • Texture is silky and it glides fairly on lips--not too sticky not too slippery. It has matte and powdery finish. Staying power is medium. Though it leaves a slight tinge of stain on lips it transfers as as much as any normal lipstick. It is not transfer proof
  • What I like about this is that it's pigment is buildable. You can control the pigment on your lips and can wear it on full coverage or light and the effects are quite different. Full coverage gives off that bold color while light coverage is more like a gradient, softer and more natural finish

Lip Dip in Femmebot:

Lip Dip is a whipped matte lip cream that gives you the look of soft-blurred lips with every dip. The pigmented formula applies like a cushiony mousse but finishes like a weightless moisturizing balm.

Keep it casual or make it fun—all nine shades melt onto your lips with a soft-matte finish you’ll want to wear every day.

  • Femmebot is a mauve pink shade. The color looks natural on my lips. Lighter and less darker than 143. It looks so good on my lips pictures won't do any justice. It's pink so it combats the natural paleness of my lips at the same time it still looks natural and improves my overall look
  • Like many reviews says, it's like a dupe of 3CE lip product but I haven't tried 3CE, so I have no point of comparison in this
  • It comes in matte plastic packaging. I can tell it is not flimsy and honestly looks expensive.
  • The product is mousse type and it finishes off as powdery finish. It is not transfer proof like I thought it will be but it has transfers less easily compared to Fluffmatte. Leaves a stain but not much
  • Like Fluffmatte you can control the application so as to manage how much pigment it will end up on your lips
  • It has this odd fruity scent
  • It is also suggested that both products can be used on other parts of the face but for some reason I don't feel like doing so
Overall, both lippies are must-haves. You can get one each or both. Shades are wearable and price is reasonable. Some worry about this being overhyped and sacrificing quality but I can say it delivers nonetheless. And for me, it wouldn't hurt to buy more than one shade

Jeju Aloe Ice Gel Lotion and Shampoo Review

Jeju Aloe Ice products has been hyped up recently and I just can't stand not owning and trying these products out

There are a lot of Jeju aloe ice products popping out in the market but this one was from Watsons Fresh Skinlab. I got the gel lotion and the shampoo and among other its products includes gel, conditioner and wipes. I also bought these two and plan on using it this summer while going to the beach. I went to the beach several times and these products has helped me in some ways.

Soothing gel formulated with Jeju Aloe Vera that moisturizes and refreshes skin from intense heat of the sun. Can be kept refrigerated for a more enhanced soothing effect

It is a gel-lotion. For this, I tested it for the soothing and effect. It says it is more advisable to put in the ref first for maximum results but I didn't do that.

It feels cool upon application without that mentholated feeling to achieve the cooling effect which is actually a plus

 contains 300 ml of product

Does it help to cure sunburn? No. I had a sunburn on my arm and while it does soothes it, it doesn't help fade it away. Not actually advisable to apply on scars, skin inflammation, eczema or sunburn--probably the severe ones.

It is also said to be used to achieve that 'glass-skin' finish. It is moisturizing enough and not at all sticky. Though I haven't used it long enough to have that glass skin finish, it's a great additional step for skincare.

Jeju Aloe Ice Shampoo

What made me bought this shampoo is the scent. I love its mild scent.

It has cooling effect upon lathering onto your hair. It helps remove itchiness from dandruff and pollution of your scalp. I used this after the beach because my scalp was rather irritated from all that sea water and sand. I can feel that my hair and scalp is clean after wash and leaves little to no residue.

The only downside I could tell is that it is sticky on my hair. When my hair dries up, it is sticky. It also makes my hair to have more of that volume due to the aloe ingredient but my hair being thick already, it is not an advantage. It might be best if used with Jeju Aloe ice conditioner.

Etude Precious Mineral BB Cream Review

I'd choose BB cream over foundation any day. And of course, if I am getting my hands on BB creams, I will most likely buy it from Etude House. For me it's the best place to buy BB cream.

BB creams works like a wonder, it has skincare benefits in a makeup

This BB cream comes with a slim layer fit formula than smoothly glides onto skin even when you apply several layers, helping to express clean, bright and smooth skin with its mother of pearl

For this BB cream it has 4 types:

Cotton Fit - Matte Finish
Perfect Fit - for full coverage
Bright Fit - Dewy Finish
Blooming Fit - Sheer Finish

I got Blooming Fit and Honey Beige W24 is the perfect shade for my skin tone. It has 60 g of product and a pea size of the product goes a long way.

Other benefits of this BB cream includes:

-Whitening
-Anti-Darkening
-Anti-Wrinkle
-SPF30/PA++

Packaging: Comes with a tube with a pump and I think there's no better way to dispense the product. I appreciate this rather than the usual twist cap. It's more hygienic this way

Coverage: 3/5. Pretty fair. It's just right for me as I don't need heavy coverage but if you need more coverage you can add concealer

It has a 'brightening' finish

Lasting power: 6-8 hours. It doesn't feel itchy or irritating on my skin even if I am wearing it for the whole day (or night) as I sometimes forget to wash my face. It's actually still there. The dewiness is still there. It goes well with any powder be it translucent, setting, or 2 way cake powder, it doesn't cake up. It is not sticky and makes my complexion fresh all day
