Kokuryu Creamy Pat Review

Kokuryu has been the one of the first line of makeup out there that is why I got curious of their makeup quality. Kokuryu doesn't only sell those summer cakes we usually see, Kokuryu has full line of makeup--from eye pencil, lip stick, blush, mascara, you name it!  So I decided to try one of their pressed powders.

Kokuryu Creamy Pat in Bare Bisque

Now don't confuse this with their Cream Cake foundation, it has the same packaging but it's different. It's a cream type and this one is powder

It has 6 shades actually: Bare Bisque, Earthy Bisque, Blushing Pink, Peach Brandy, Misty Peach and Sun Tan. By the time I was on the stall of Kokuryu only 2 shades are available -- Bare Bisque and Misty Peach

I got Bare Bisque because I think Misty Peach is too dark for me

"It is a cream powder and foundation in one. Used to complete your make-up and give your face that satin smooth finish. Ideal for re-touching make-up."

Directions:
1. Clean face thoroughly
2. Condition skin with soft lotion (for nomal and dry skin) or Ash Lotion (for Oily skin)
3. Apply base cream
4. Apply cake or cream foundation.
5. Lightly dub on Kokuryu Creamy PAT using the shade suited to your skin tone.

Let's start with the packaging: It's elegant black and looks expensive. Sturdy even though it is made of plastic. The label doesn't get erased easily. It has a separator which separates the sponge from the powder and it is attached to the pan itself so the separator doesn't fall off. Looks expensive but you know Kokuryu is very affordable and it retails for about 120+ pesos. I prefer the type of applicator it has than other powder applicators which is just a small sponge

It has super smooth consistency more creamy than powdery. It cakes a little with my foundation and emphasizes the dry patches on my skin. Staying power is fair around 4-6 hours. Light to medium buildable coverage. Good in controlling oil and touch ups but it does oxidize on me

So the downside of this product is it's shade. It's just way too pinkish orange for me. It could pass as a blush. It also has a strong medicated smell that made me feel dizzy and smells like your mom's perfume

Overall it's a good product--7/10 it's affordable and convenient and I would probably buy another if the other shades are available.
